The governing body conducting counseling for medical / dental in MP is DME - Medical Education Department Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, there are 13 government and 7 private medical colleges, with 1649 and 1150 seats respectively. For government seats, only MP state domicile students are eligible

Following are the governing bodies, which provide admission in state medical and dental colleges of MP:

Madhya Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Jabalpur
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University, Bhopal
People's University, Bhopal
Barkatullah University

85% for the state government. Seats and 100% private seats, counseling is conducted. In 2019, there were three rounds of counseling, first round, second round and mop round (spot round or physical round).

In 2019, physical verification of documents was done after allocation of seats. The college where students will report after the allotment is going to happen in 2020.

                      CAREER MEDIA                            OBSERVATIONS

According to 'Career Media' we found that students from other states were not allowed to participate in Round 1 and Round 2. They were only allowed to participate in online mop up rounds.

We also found that the number of seats in the MOP round was only 2 and both were allotted in the NRI category. Of the two, one seat was at Viva Medical College, and the other at Index Medical College.

Our team has done a comparative analysis and found that the government allocation. The seat via AIQ was a bit tricky because the cut-off was too high. On the other hand, it was still easy for domicile candidates to find a seat under state counseling. There was a minimum difference of 3000 ranks in the state from AIQ.

In Round 1, the cut-off for private colleges for General / OBC / SC category was less than Round 2, while it was higher in Round 1 than Round 2 for ST.

It is our advice to non-MP domicile students that they should have a few more options at hand, as this only consists of round up MOPs in which they can apply, but this will be based on the availability of seats in the MOP round in 2019 Relying only on MP is risky. For more information, you can join our team.
