Medical / Dental seats in Andhra Pradesh are authorized by NTRUHS - Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.

Once a student passes the NEET exam, the student becomes eligible to participate in the NEET counseling process for the purpose of studying a medical-related course in the Andhra Pradesh state government. Medical college. Students who want to learn in any of the medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh can do so through MCC to get AIQ seats and through NTRUHS for state quota seats.

The total government colleges in the state are 12 and private colleges are 17. Of this, 307 seats will be filled through AIQ (All India Quota) and the remaining 1738 seats will be through the state consultation process. The total number of seats in private medical colleges is 2650, which will be fully filled by state counseling.

NTR conducts the admission process at the University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Government Medical and Dental College in Tirupati Andhra Pradesh.

The counseling process connects 85% of the state government. Complete list of seats and Pvt. Seats. It is conducted in three rounds viz; Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up also known as Spot or Physical Round. Only students who have domicile of Andhra Pradesh can apply for the counseling process. Physical verification of documents is done before the counseling process begins.

Research by "Career Media" indicates that the government is taking over. Seats in the state of Andhra Pradesh are much more convenient through state counseling than AIQ (All India Quota).

The final seat was ranked 15505 in Round 1 of the general category in the state counseling of Government Medical College, Ananthpuram 

 

The  seat already allotted through the All India Quota (AIQ) of the Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Ongole ,had 9268 rank. Private colleges also have the highest cut-offs.

Highlights Of   TELANGANA  NEET UG Counselling 2020

        Eligibility For MBBS

  • The student who has successfully qualified NEET UG - 2020 with the required percentile of passing standard.

  • The candidate needs to be a person of Indian Nationality or Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Indian Citizen (OCI) & he/she must meet the local or non-local status of Andhra Pradesh state as part of act by Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions.

  • The candidate must be a passout student of (10+2) or any equivalent examination with specialized subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology), Biotechnology and English.

  • The candidates with open category background should must secure above 50% marks in science subjects BC/SC/ST candidates should attain atlest 40% marks in science subjects to get qualification of eligibility.

  • Open category students who are physically handicape has to score the marks above 45% as part of general eligibility guidelines.

  • The student must have to complete an age of 17 years as of december 2020 in the year of application (31-12-2020).

                                               ANDHRA PRADESH- MBBS Counselling Process

  1. Candidates applying for the counseling round will have to register themselves at http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in/ and the General & OBC One has to pay INR 3540 for category and 2950 INR for SC & ST category.

  2. Then the candidates have to enter their account according to the schedule and configure the seat matrix to fill the election.

  3. The candidate will be allotted a seat according to his cutoff ranking, his personal preference and preference.

  4. Once the candidate accepts the allotted seats, he / she will have to report to the respective college to confirm the further process. (There is an option for upgrading in Round 2) Round of seat allocation will be done as per schedule and candidates can attend the upcoming counseling session.

  5. Reporting in college and completing document verification.
